Apple today released Mac Pro SMC Update 2.0 enabling a Mac Pro to enter Power Nap mode without running the fan for Power Nap activities. The update also includes a fix for an issue that caused a low-speed USB device not to be detected at startup.

New mobile tracking data shows that within two days of its release, Apple’s iOS 7.0.6 security and maintenance update — which repaired a potentially critical SSL-related bug — was already installed on more than 13 percent of iPhones and iPads in North America. iOS 7.0.

Some iPhone and iPad users, myself included, have experienced an unusual level of battery drain after updating devices to iOS 7.0.6. This is typically accompanied by an iPhone (or other device) feeling abnormally warm to the touch.

It’s safe to say that Mail in OS X Mavericks has been the new operating system’s least impressive point. Since launch, users have been complaining about issues relating to Gmail accounts, stability, and overall synchronization.
