「iTunes Gift Card」詐欺

Appleは「iTunes Gift Card Scams」と題するiTunes Gift Cardの詐欺に注意するようにとアナウンスしています

これによると

A string of scams are taking place asking people to make payments over the phone for things such as taxes, hospital bills, bail money, debt collection, and utility bills.

「税金、病院の請求書、保釈金、債務回収、公益法案などのために電話で支払いを求める詐欺行為が行われている

Regardless of the reason for payment, the scam follows a certain formula

「詐欺には一定の公式がある」としており

he victim receives a call instilling panic and urgency to make a payment by purchasing iTunes Gift Cards from the nearest retailer (convenience store, electronics retailer, etc.). After the cards have been purchased, the victim is asked to pay by sharing the 16-digit code on the back of the card with the caller over the phone.

「パニックと緊急を要する電話をかけて、最寄りの小売業者（コンビニエンスストア、エレクトロニクス小売業者など）からiTunesギフトカードを購入しカードを購入した後、被害者はカードの裏にある16桁のコードを電話で発信者伝えることによって支払うように求められます」

詐欺の被害者にならないためのヒント

If you are NOT purchasing an item from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or an Apple Music membership, do NOT make a payment with iTunes Gift Cards. There’s no other instance in which you’ll be asked to make a payment with an iTunes Gift Card.

「iTunes Store、App Store、iBooks Store、またはApple Music以外にiTunes Gift Cardを使って支払いをするよう求められる他の例はありません」

これって一時我が国でもLINEなどでこの様なことが起こっていたように思います、この時は怪しい日本語で結構直ぐにバレバレになるケースが多かったように思います

現在は、日本ではアナウンスされていないので米国のみでしょうか？

様は、「iTunes Store」「App Store」「iBooks Store」または「Apple Music」では「iTunes Gift Card」の番号を求められることはないと言うことです

と言うことで、これから起こりうるかも解らないので呉々も注意しましょう！
