iPhone発表から10周年

Appleは、1月9日（現地時間）にiPhoneが10周年を迎えるに際し「Newsroom」において「iPhone at ten: the revolution continues」を発表しています

2007年1月9日サンフランシスコのMacworld 2007で、Steve Jobsは「タッチコントロール付きのワイドスクリーンiPod、画期的な携帯電話、画期的なインターネット通信デバイス」という3つの製品導入したと、iPhoneを発表しました

AppleのCEOであるTim Cook氏は、

iPhone is an essential part of our customers’ lives, and today more than ever it is redefining the way we communicate, entertain, work and live,

「iPhoneはお客様の生活の中で不可欠な一部で、今日ではこれまで以上に通信、エンターテイメント、仕事や暮らしの方法を再定義しています」

また、ワールドワイドマーケティング担当シニアバイスプレジデントであるPhilip Schiller氏は

It is amazing that from the very first iPhone through to today’s newest iPhone 7 Plus, it has remained the gold standard by which all other smartphones are judged. For many of us, iPhone has become the most essential device in our lives and we love it,

「最初のiPhoneから最新のiPhone 7 Plusに至るまで、他のすべてのスマートフォンのゴールドスタンダードになっていることは驚くべきことです。多くの人にとって、iPhoneは私たちの生活で最も重要なデバイスになっています」
